Best Tips and Tricks

What should you focus on when you start your calisthenics training? These are my best 3 tips for you:

FIRST, PRACTICE THE BASICS
Calisthenics basics are pull-ups, push-ups or exercises that focus on the core (btw, the nice thing about calisthenics is, that your abs will probably develop naturally). If you feel like normal basics are too boring for you, you might want to start with some easy skills.

SECOND, FIND A GOOD SOURCE OF KNOWLEDGE
i.e. a professional coach or someone with a lot of experience. There are many good calisthenics bloggers on the internet. Do not let yourself confuse by the variety. Personally, I found advices of Sthenics really helpful. Lastly, I want to point out that reaching out for help on Instagram might sound nice but it can confuse more than help you. So, the bottom line of this is: find one or a few good sources of knowledge and don’t confuse yourself with 3.000.000 different opinions of not qualified people. Remember, just because someone is a good athlete, this doesn’t mean that the same person knows how to give advice!

TH
IRD, DON’T COMPARE YOURSELF WITH OTHERS
… because normally their background story is a different one than yours. The more time you spend with envying other people’s progress, the less time you have for your own progress.
